A World of Scents Candle Co

Tying together a background in cartography with an appreciation of “good smells”; A World of Scents Candle Co was born. Brea Gilchrist

The basic structures of the human body are shared: regardless of age, culture, or status. This is why our anatomy has become Gilchrist’s focal point in her creations. In her work, she is attempting to have the viewers rethink their understanding of anatomy. It is not only our human blueprint, but when taken out of the medical context where it is seen most, these structures are truly striking visuals. Gilchrist wants human anatomy to be more approachable to any viewer, because whether they realize it or not, they are involved in these depictions that unite us as human beings.

The Bee Shed

Chris and John co-own The Bee Shed. Chris loves to teach about beekeeping and the need for native prairie restoration, while John’s love of nature and a propensity to try new things made beekeeping a natural fit. Between the two of them, thousands have learned about beekeeping or heard the message about supporting pollinators through prairie restoration.
